During 2016, Ecolab Inc. continued its long-standing commitment to
supporting communities in need by providing more than 142 tons of
cleaning, sanitizing and public health products in support of natural
disaster relief efforts throughout the world.
“After a natural disaster, cleaning and sanitizing products are needed
to protect people and rebuild the community,” said Kris Taylor, Ecolab
vice president of Community Relations. “When a natural disaster occurs,
we direct our product resources to those who need them most.”
Working in partnership with non-profit organizations, Ecolab also
donated nearly $1 million of cleaning, sanitizing and public health
products in 2016 in support of relief efforts after floods in Louisiana,
Texas and West Virginia, Hurricane Matthew in the southeastern U.S., and
to hospitals, orphanages, fire and emergency response stations and
emergency food relief centers in El Salvador, Honduras, Liberia, Romania
and Sierra Leone.
“For more than 18 years, World Emergency Relief has been proud to work
with Ecolab to provide cleaning, sanitizing and public health products
to those in need,” said Kristy Scott, CEO of World Emergency Relief.
“Ecolab’s consistent commitment to helping communities during their most
difficult times is remarkable.”
